Jim Tonte  
    
Coach Tonte is in his 10th year as head coach at PMHS. His coaching career also includes two other head coaching stints at Tri-West High School for two years and Connersville High School for three years. Coach Tonte also spent three years as assistant coach at Ben Davis High School. He has coached numerous state finalists, three state champions, national qualifiers, All-Americans, and a National Champion. At the high school level, Coach Tonte, was a sectional, regional, and semi-state champ for Southport High School. In 1981, he placed in the top eight in the state meet at Market Square Arena. In college at the University of Indianapolis, he was Division II NCAA National Finalist. Coach Tonte is active in summer wrestling for Indiana State Wrestling Association. He has been head coach for Team Indiana and a staff member for 12 seasons. Over his years of coaching, many of his high school wrestlers qualified for Team Indiana by placing in the top 3 in the ISWA finals. Coach Tonte resides on the south side of Indianapolis where he grew up. He is married to Tina Nicole Tonte. They have two sons, Jacob, age 14, and Tristen , age 7. Jacob is a six time state champion and has been a free-style All-American
